Notes
After checking the gauge yesterday morning, it started again with a very wet snow rain mix shortly thereafter and was coming down in greater earnest by about 9:00m or so. Then is sputtered on and off most of the day with very light wet snow or rain. Then it picked up at about 3:30 or 4:00pm and snowed harder for an hour or so until about dinner time, then tapered off to a lighter wet snow until sometime around nightfall. I don’t think much or any more fell during the night. When I measured new snowfall and “snowpack” this morning, I’m sure they don’t reflect all the water that fell, as just about all of it had melted away. However, on my snowboard, there was new accumulation and residual snowpack, although given that much of yesterday wasn’t terribly windy, the gauge likely has the best measure of water that fell over the last 24 hrs.
