Last week was dry and hot, until 2 days ago when a thunderstorm brought rain and the next day a shower brought more, giving us a total of 1.64" total. The high last week was 93.7°. The garden continues to produce cucumbers and summer squash. I picked another cabbage. Despite the dryness, the beans that were just planted mostly germinated. Black-eyed susans and Scarlet bee balm are blooming. Phoebes are feeding a second batch of nestlings. The microhydro is still running on full. The drinking spring remains excellent.
